A hair transplant is the transference of hair grafts from a donor region to another region affected by normal male pattern hair loss or female pattern hair loss. This is done by removing a strip of hair bearing scalp from the back of the head where hair growth tends to be more permanent. The strip of hair bearing scalp can vary greatly in size.  After it is removed, the doctor will suture this area back together. Miminal scarring is involved. The hairs from the graft are then dissected and implanted into the designated area of hair loss.  The newly transplanted hair will fall off and in about 4 to 6 months your new and permanent hair will grow in its place forever.
